Albion Online Guild Economy
In order to help facilitate effective gearing and to ensure a steady supply of needed gear, equipment and accessories in our Roads of Avalon Hideout we have implemented a system we call our "Internal Economy". We have implemented this system to help reduce people's gear fear and to assist with making it easier to live "off the grid" on the roads.

Components of the Guild Economy
This system attempts to accomplish the following goals:
- Provide crafters with the resources required to make goods at the best price we are able to acquire the resources given our economies of scale and capital
- Maintain an active and well stocked Auction House with semi closed market conditions that enforce prices that are reasonable relative to global market prices (meaning we don't pay a premium for living in the Roads)
- Provide resources to connect crafters, refiners and gatherers with members in the guild needing gear, equipment and accessories
To achieve these goals we have implemented the following systems within the guild:
- Strategic Reserve
- Inter Guild Trade Zone
- Roads Hideout Auction House
- Loot Splits
- Personal Loot Buyout
These systems are detailed below.
Strategic Reserve
The guild maintains a strategic reserve of important refined resources, and other essential supplies. These resources are provided as close to the guild's cost as possible. Currently the strategic reserve supplies the following items:
- Refined resources of quality T4, T5 and T6
- Upgrade materials for upgrading gear to 4.3, 5.2 and 6.1 (T7 equiv)
- Food (meta food items: Pork Pies, Beef Stew, and Pork Omelets. Beef Sandwiches for powering the hideout)
- Mounts
- Bags
- Potions (Resistence Pots, Poisons,
- Capes
At any given time we maintain a stock of these items balanced between being available on the Guild Auction House, being available in chests for crafters and held in Reserve in the Hideout Guild Bank.

Strategic Reserve Donations
If you would like to donate any of the items that we have in the strategic reserve or raw resources that will be useful to maintaining the reserve, you can do so by donating items to the Strategic Reserve tab in the Hideout or the Armory Donations tab on the Guild Island in Lymhurst.
I would like to help the guild maintain the strategic reserve
It is expected that weekly (or so) the guild will post a looking for strategic reserve restock post in #ao-tradezone on Discord. This will be a list of items that we need to replenish (things like bags, food, etc) to maintain our reserve and auction house stock. The guild will provide the resources required to craft these items, and work with the crafters to ensure supply of essential goods in our market and strategic reserve. We will also use this weekly-ish market order to announce any changes to what items we are stocking, prices, etc.
Inter Guild Trade Zone
The Inter Guild Trade Zone is a system intended to connect the members of our guild with the guilds crafters and the resources that are made available in the Strategic Reserve. This system will allow anyone who needs gear at our hideout to have crafters craft that gear for as minimal of a price as possible. The crafters will be able to provide you with gear made from T4, T5, and T6 materials. Additionally the auction house will have stock of enchanting resources to enchant that gear up to T7 equivalency provided at or below cost.
In general you will work with the crafter who will make your gear with resources from the Strategic Reserve, you will pay the guild for the resources that are consumed and then you can enchant the gear to your desired level of IP.
Golden Rules
This system takes some maintenance work and capital from the guild to function. This system works with a whole bunch of trust and only functions if everyone approaches it with the following golden rules in mind:
- The resources provided are for helping to gear our members in the roads, not for personal profit
- Any resources that are consumed should be paid for by donation to the guild, if you need to know what the cost for resources is, you can view a calculator for this in the Strategic Reserve Pricing sheet
- During the early stages while we figure out how much we need in terms of resources, please try and keep your requests to 3-5 units of any given item/sets if at all possible
- Do not under any circumstances pester our crafters. They are volunteering their time to help you, treat them with kindness.
Any violations of these rules will result in loss of privileges within or expulsion from the guild
I need gear crafted, what do I do?
The guild has setup all crafting stations available in the Hideout and upgraded them to at least Tier 6.
If you need gear crafted by another crafter please follow the following process:
- Requestor: Post a looking for crafter request in discord (channel #ao-tradezone)
- Crafter: Reply to the discord thread confirming they will craft the item for you
- Crafter: Crafter will withdraw the resources from the crafter chest in the guild hall (see below), craft the items and then return any resources resulting from RRR back into the chest when finished. Be sure to note any and communicate any fees paid for using the crafting station
- Requestor: Trade with the crafter, being sure to pay their station fees. You are free (but never expected) to tip the crafter as well for their time
- Crafter: Post a screenshot of the items you crafted (either in the trade window or your inventory) into the thread in #ao-tradezone so the requestor can be billed
- Officer: Notify the requestor of the cost
- Requestor: Donate to the guild the cost
We will operate on the trust system - crafters don't have to wait for price or payment verification. Please be sure to pay the guild the amount required to cover resource costs.
I am a crafter and I would like to help...
First, thank you!
If you are interested in helping out please do the following two things:
- Reply to the "Approved Crafter List" post on Discord in the #ao-tradezone channel - this step is required.
- add your crafting roles to the Albion Online Crafting & Refining Roster wiki.
Once an officer has confirmed your request we will give you the Guild Crafter role in game which will give you access to chests in our crafting area in the Hideout with the resources.
Please note - the resources in the crafting chests are only for crafting gear for your guild mates (and yourself of course!), anyone caught abusing access to these resources will have their access revoked.
Accessing resources
Once you have the Crafter role in the guild you will be able to access the crafter chest that is inside of the Guild Hall in the Roads Hideout.

Guild Auction House
The Guild Auction House in our Roads Hideout is fully stocked with necessities of day to day life in Albion Online. Things like food, mounts, etc should always be accessible at an affordable and competitive cost. Through the Strategic Reserve the guild makes available items via the Auction House.
A full list of available items, their cost to acquire for the guild and their cost for sale will be made available shortly.
I would like to supply items to the guild auction house...
If there are items you think it would be helpful to have on the auction house and you'd like to import them yourself, that's awesome! Everyone is free (AND ENCOURAGED!) to import items into the roads and list them on the AH. There are no hard and fast rules about how we manage this but we are encouraging anyone who participates in this to limit the amount of profit that you build into your price. Please remember that the point of the Hideout, the Hideout AH and all of this effort is to provide an affordable platform to play the game out of the Roads. Profiteering on that scarcity is counter to the guilds goals, and not helpful to your fellow guild mates.
